482 Music is New York City - based label making cds and records of jazz, improv, world music, maybe some things that sound vaguely like electronica, or pop sometimes, too..

Our aim is to bring you music rooted in the interplay of composition and improvisation, music that finds enjoyment in the exploration of new approaches to traditional genres.

We hope you will find something a little unexpected in everything we present.
